The club got off to a great start in September with the news that the Afternoon League would start up again. Two teams were entered in the league and so far have been doing very well. There are several matches at home and away. The matches bring a very sociable side to the club as there’s a cup of tea and refreshments after the games for everyone.
The AGM was held on 27 October and this was very well attended. New committee was elected for the forthcoming year.
A Knock-Out Singles competition is planned for the Topline Murtagh’s Perpetual Cup, this will be held over several weeks and will continue into 2023.
Members of the Club are travelling to Westport over the next couple of weeks for a 5 day bowls event. This is always an excellent week and members of the club have been extremely successful there over the years.
The club is always on the lookout of new members so drop down to Ashbourne Community Centre any Thursday at 1.30. This is a beautiful centre for our bowls club and is admired by all the visiting clubs
We are very grateful to MCC for funding, AMD@meathcountycouncil.ie
