
Meath County Council Cathaoirleach Cllr. Nick Killian today launched the Meath Energy Expo which will take place on Saturday, October 22 from 10.00am to 4.00pm in the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan.
The free event is being run by Meath County Council and will see a host of energy advisors come together under one roof to provide information and practical advice to attendees. The expo will showcase suppliers and installers of home energy retrofits including heat pumps and solar energy systems. There will also be information stands detailing home energy efficiency upgrades, retrofitting grants, and information from the SEAI to help complete energy upgrades.
Speaking about the event Cathaoirleach Cllr. Nick Killian said, “We understand people’s concerns regarding energy consumption and the need for savings, Meath Energy Expo will be providing the opportunity for people to learn how to save energy and money by taking simple steps and planning for longer term projects. With the significant increase in energy costs affecting all sectors of society the event is likely to be of interest to people from all over the county”.
Mary D’Arcy, Meath Climate Action Coordinator added, “We are proud to support local and delighted to be joined on the day by local companies to give advice and information on energy-saving measures, energy efficiency products and other energy services as well as information on grants and other supports.”
Some of the companies on the day will include: The Energy Team, McGann Energy Consultants, Ecological Building Systems, Solectric, Local Power, Cooper Insulation, Energy Efficient Homes, SC Air Tightness, Firebird Heating Solutions, Grant IRL, Heat Pumps Ireland, Greenline Plumbing Services Ltd, Fireplaces Ireland, LWS&I Windows and Doors, Kells Windows and Bio Pure Tech.
