Dunboyne GAA’s new sponsor Kepak Group pledges support to €2.5m development plan

Significant investment by Kepak over the next 10 years will support the Club’s major €2.5m development plans, including primary sponsorship of their annual club summer camps.

The Kepak group, a leading meat producer in Ireland and UK who own brands such as Rustlers and Kepak Gold, operates 12 manufacturing facilities in Ireland and the UK.

St Peter’s GAA has been working on preparations for a major Development Plan to significantly enhance the facilities at the Club.

“Our ambitious development plans at the Club are progressing well thanks to all our supporters, including Kepak, as we enter our final fundraising push to deliver everything we have envisaged,” says Ronan O’ Doherty, Chairperson of St Peter’s GAA.

This includes an all-weather pitch with floodlights, fencing, and dugouts at St. Peter’s GAA clubhouse. Three juvenile pitches, with a training area, dressing rooms and 100 parking spaces are also to be built at Rooske Road Academy Centre adjacent to the local Gaelscoil. Extensions are necessary to cope with the increase in memberships with the amount expected to reach 1,500 in the next five years.

“Kepak’s support for annual summer camps will also help aid the development of the exceptional young talent that will be the future of Gaelic games in Meath,” says Simon Walker, CEO of Kepak Group.

From this partnership, naming rights to the new St Peter’s Academy facility have been gifted to the Kepak group, naming it Kepak Park. Extensive research with other clubs has been done so far with acquisitions of lands for pitch development, licence agreements in place with local schools, securing planning permissions, and the submission of grant applications to various bodies. Revenue approval for fund-raising efforts have been obtained to allow charity events and donations from the public as another means of raising the funds for these extensions.
